Our goal is for there to no longer be any malnourished children in Texas
or Guatemala and we are tackling that goal one school at a time and
one community at a time.
It all started in 2013, when Ancora Ministries founder, Trey Williams, then a children’s and missions pastor, experienced first-hand the devastating reality of many children’s lives in Guatemala when he took part in a mission trip to Guatemala. The dream of Ancora came to life several years later, with the added vision of ending food insecurity for children in Central Texas, where Trey has lived since 1989.
Since 2020, Ancora has helped provide meals, purified water, safe cooking appliances, medical treatments, and education to more than 15,000 people in Guatemala, and provided meals and support to more than 16,000 people in
Central Texas.
Ancora currently feeds over 1,200 kids monthly in Guatemala and Texas, and we are on a mission to help even more families this year.
Ancora Ministries uses donations to pack backpacks with food for children in Texas and to partner with communities across Guatemala. Those community partnerships include nutrition and clean water initiatives, plus a tailored approach to address each community’s unique needs by working closely with members in that community.
We rely on the generosity of people who are passionate about helping children reach their full potential. We believe that together, we can beat child hunger and malnutrition in Central Texas and Guatemala!
